All I can say is WOW. I created a target called DebugLogs and added that target to a rule for troubleshooting. That created the type of separate log file we had with the old software that enabled me to do focused troubleshooting outside of the Search tool. This is perfect. This works better than my prior requests of creating a log file per rule file for how we used those old log. I AM IMPRESSED.

I've been really pleased with how easy of a time I've had installing and configuring TS, even when using methods that aren't explicitly covered in the docs (e.g. using Chef to automate the install). It's been nice to have those things done in a way which is fairly easy to integrate with other tools!

I am wrapping up the POC and quite impressed! Besides the work flow change for logging and resending traps we used for our old product, TrapStation provides the Search feature we can use as we discussed (native functionality). It also bridges the gaps we currently have by handling with SNMP V3 and inform messages we currently cannot support, has the reporting, ease of management etc. Your help throughout has been invaluable and impressive.

Being able to manipulate traps with the JavaScript API… genius! I consistently say it's the best product in our stable of tools, by far.
